my sweet friend from college is going away. she and her little boy "ev" (as sweet pea calls him) came to denver all the way from colorado springs for a sleep over. she's a lifer that's for sure. a true blue friend.
they are moving to fuji yoshida, japan in just over a month. to say i'm sad would be an understatement. i can barely speak of it. this will be the last time i see her for awhile. but just when i'm wallowing in self pity...she says something like "minute steak" and where's the ketchup? and we are giggling so hard i can't even see. tears of joy start flowing and then i know no matter the distance we will always send each other into fits of laughter over nothing and everything all at the same time. she is one of my greatest gifts.

Sorry that your friend is moving so far away....but you are blessed to have a friend like that :)
ReplyDeleteNice header photos too!!
I agree with J.J. If misery loves company, my best friend of 33 years is leaving tomorrow to move to TX. I know about the tears and some of those feelings you might be having:(
ReplyDeleteI am sorry that your freind is moving so far away... maybe this can be your excuse to get to travel to Japan.. tell me the inside joke about minut steak....
ReplyDeletethis may be crazy, but neither one of us had ever heard of minute steak. her mil made it for dinner one night with fried potatoes and she's a marathon runner....it was a little out of the norm for her. like i said...laughing over nothing...
