there are a lot of things that we are and will be getting used to about the new house....
but this little friend is not one that i am happy about. not that he's doing any harm in particular. well not that i know of. but we are moving to a place where field mice and rattlesnakes abound (i personally have never seen any, but my grandpa used to tell me never to go in the field because there were rattlers out there...and may i digress for a moment? i wonder out loud if he just said that to keep me close to the house? hmmm....) anyway. we are not really cat people. but we are REALLY not mice and snake people. that being said...as soon as we're settled we are buying a cat. any suggestions?

SNAKE ALERT!!! you need to alert people of these things... they hate it when i shriek at the library : )
ReplyDeletewe'd send down stanley, but he's a pretty lazy hunter!

ReplyDeletewait... did ou take that picture? that sure looks like a rattlers to me.
ReplyDeletegarter snake...truly it had the girth of string cheese (sorry i couldn't think of anything else) i don't know how long...he just sucked back into the ground cover and rustled away. sweet pea said he's not moving there:)
ReplyDeleteso...getting rid of ground cover. buying a cat. think we'll name it jenhentzen.
Eeewww! My in-laws have a Jack Russell Terrier that catches snakes in their backyard (in Florida) all the time. I'm sure they catch mice too :-)
ReplyDeleteIf you are settled on a cat you should visit a local farmer and ask to have a farm cat...just a thought!
