i feel so bad...

about so many things. often. it plagues me. i blame myself for everything justified or unjustified. sometimes i take on way too much. i always have, and my mother warns me about it. i never seem to listen and i never learn, much to my own detriment. one thing i feel particularly bad about is neglecting myself and the things that keep me sane. so. i haven't been writing. i haven't been blogging. i haven't been creative. and i am literally sick. i have 5 tax returns to prepare and people are waiting on me. i have deadlines at work. and i have two sweet little boys who have birthdays this week and family coming to town. i want all the business out of the way before the festivities begin. so, i'm stealing these last minutes before i drag myself to bed to just say i miss writing and i miss reading. i'll be back soon with so many pictures of my soon to be 2 and 4 year old boys. but i'll leave you with this....
we are bringing the 80's back one child at a time. beans first. i can't describe how this look makes me feel. especially in public. he insists on dressing himself or refuses to let me change him. the other night he wore sweet pea's underwear over his pajamas to bed. he has adopted some favorite clothes - shorts. he wears them with everything...over or under his clothes. and boots. cowboy or snow. his or brother's. or both. oh i love this child. more than you will ever know.

you could make him wear a sign taped to his back that says "i dressed myself".

  3. Oh you should just talk, missy. I remember when you insisted on wearing plaid shirts with polka dot skirts, etc. etc. You were delightfully individualistic.

  4. Ha, Arielle does the same thing with skirts and dresses these days. Wears them over everything. She sometimes wears skirts under dresses but I have the keen ability to convince her not to do it. After all, she is a girl and has a fashion-sense about her! One time, she picked an outfit out that totally didn't match (like always) but I didn't say anything. When my mom mentioned that it didn't match Arielle got mad at me for not telling her and she changed her outfit! Kids are too much...
