what a week. so much joy. so much to be thankful for. we have been surrounded for days by out of town family and friends. i love nothing more than a house full of people.
uncle kevin not only played guitar hero sweet pea and beans style, but he helped me make slimey cookies for bean's second birthday bash at school.

they ate cookies, got mohawks, and mr. messy tatoos to celebrate.
messy?!? shh...don't tell him he's messy. he's just not happy without spaghetti sauce from ear to ear. and ranch dressing. we like it when beans is happy. don't make him angry....he's two.
sweet pea and beans bought each other light sabers as birthday presents. i am all for the theory that you should not give one child the force and not the other.
then grandma brenda and grandpa john got here in time for our zoo party to celebrate birthdays on one of the most amazingly warm spring days. the best day ever!
and i can't resist the chance to mention that i actually got a little creative inspiration going and created these zoo bingo cards for the kids. they were all so interested in finding the next animal so they could cross it off on their cards. very fun little game for all of us.
we had such a nice day with friends and family. thank you to everyone for helping and participating!!
today is sweet pea's 4th birthday. it is safe to say that he got everything he wanted. you know the light saber. a head lamp. the jumpy thing. the bat cave. a baseball mit. all that and a bike with training wheels (no balance bikes for this one).
and with the help of the scribbler, i was able to snag some vintage copies of the berenstain bears to fully satiate all of his current obsessions (the berenstain bears are at the top of the list with batman and the light saber).
it has been such a wonderful spring vacation week and now i'm sitting here, writing (well i'm on my blog and trying to catch up) looking out the window at the abundance of snow in the back yard, and trying to steer clear of sweet pea as he rides his bike around the kitchen island. life is good.
this pleases me to no end. oh happy day. I had pretty darn good one myself. more on that soon. xo
