one more day until our little beans can officially face forward in his car seat. look at beans in this cute onesie from quince & clover (she has such cute things in her etsy shop). surya sent us a preview of pictures so i wouldn't lose my mind in anticipation. we love how with one shot she can capture not only the moment, but the personality. not to mention the fact that i got to sit back and enjoy all the moments instead of worrying about where the camera was.
i'm not going to say that beans didn't eat any of the cake i baked for him. i'll give him credit for trying. i borrowed a cute recipe from my good buddy martha for a monkey cake. i modified the recipe and used a store bought cake mix. the cooking time was a crap shoot and i lost. i'll admit i kind of had to dig in so he could get to the cake. it wouldn't have mattered. all he was interested in (and rightly so) was the ben & jerry's.
honestly he was lucky to get the ice cream. i'm pretty sure that mom and dad had some stashed away just in case "we ran out." seriously, it was on sale at the grocery store and you wouldn't want to have a party without enough ice cream. brad was really concerned about the saturated fat content in one serving of chunky monkey, but i couldn't be bothered with that information.
