i saw the statue of liberty for the first time this year. a striking symbol of our freedom on the eastern shore. lighting the way for weary travelers. giving hope to the oppressed. where the tired and poor found relief. the ostracized, a home. the shunned, the free thinkers, the revolutionaries a refuge. liberty and justice for all. that is something to be thankful for.
