sweet christy

she is a humble example of the way i wish we could all live our lives.  by taking the cards we are dealt and making the best.

a woman who honors her family.  who talks the talk and walks the walk.  she is beauty in every way.  inside and out. 

sweet christy is the chairwoman of the denver brain tumor walk.  every year i think of her story and it gets me real deep down in my heart.

and then i think of my gramps and his struggles.  how losing him at a young age made such an impact on our family. 

and i think of crazy aunt bonnie and how she carries on despite "phil" the tumor who lives at the base or her brain. 

i am so thankful for people like sweet christy who honor their loved ones by taking action and by fighting the good fight.  this was her 10th and most successful year.  2000 people.  i love the community she is creating for those who are beating the odds, for those left behind, and those who are still fighting to win.
