go.
he told me that i should just trust him. that we should take care of what we have. not let things become overgrown and wither. but i argued that this is the way it had always been done. thinking in the back of my mind that there must be a reason for that. i walked towards the fence spying the baby buck in velvet and for a moment i caught a glimpse of the unexpected. rather than dying off, the fruit is beginning to prosper. the viney tendrils reaching out into the sunlight of the yard. rather than ending up with a woody old mess of a bush. with care and effort i can see tiny little grapes growing. what that tells me is that i should welcome his advice rather than scoff at it. allow him to nurture. the old ways are not always the best ways. and with love and care things grow differently than when they are left to their own devices.
end.
i love this little writing excercise. this week's theme is welcome. you should try it. here.
well sweet loves. i am off to the big city. and then to the cabin. remember they have some amazing things up there at the cabin including wi-fi. but who knows. i might just check out for a week and soak in my babies {these are my all time favorite pictures of the cabin and my boys}. hope you all have fun celebrating this amazing land we live in. i am feeling so fortunate right about now. xoxo
very creative!
ReplyDeletei noticed on your sidebar "about us" that you talked about having faith that everything happens for a reason...that's where my family is right now...moving, waiting, uncertain, but trusting God that everything happens for a reason. :)
