this is one of two pumpkins the deer didn't eat. it is the most fascinating color and tiny size. we termed yesterday our fall harvest. we picked everything we could find in the garden (including two more artichokes). it rained all day. we turned on the heat. and ate soup. i was saying to sweet pea that our garden was so much work. and between the garden and our farm share, most weekends have been spent trying to preserve the bounty. i asked him if he thought it was worth it. and emphatically he said we should do it all over again next year. big, huge, smile.
