before we left on vacation. beans had a meltdown about the ocean. he said, "mommy it's so big. i don't want to go there." i thought they had been talking about transportation at school. they had a big conversation about beans taking an airplane. so i thought they may have talked about boats on the ocean or something....

turns out his fear came from the movie the swiss family robinson. he saw the shipwreck in the movie and thought that's what happened at the ocean. yikes! poor guy!

sadly, as he and the other boys were hesitantly edging towards the water...the tide came in and knocked him over flat on his face. for the rest of the afternoon he would not go anywhere near the water. my fearless child.

we couldn't drag sweet pea away. he was soaked. and sandy. pure bliss.
