i have been so absent from this blog and my creativity for quite some time. this last year has been such a truly challenging time for us. and...because i know that everyone's problems are relative i won't even go into it. for those of you who are still around as the dust has settled i am once again very grateful for my blessings. grateful for my husband and our marriage. grateful for two boys. grateful for family. grateful for friends.
this weekend i was able to travel to nashville, tn. alone. for the first time ever. and i watched the wedding of one beautiful young soul turned into an amazing woman. and wife. as the rain poured down i prayed and prayed there would be sun for her big day. and just on cue the clouds gave way. her father is so fond of her...i could see it when we were younger showing our horses. he was so attentive to her every need. and i could see it before the wedding as he talked with his friends. i could see it as he walked her down the aisle and gave her away. when they danced together, he closed his eyes and i knew he was so in that moment with his baby girl. what an honor to be invited to witness that time in their lives. love you jess.

What a beautiful photograph - how lucky your friend is to have such a loving father. I can't imagine what it'll be like to see my kids get married. Amazing.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your creativity has returned and your hard times are behind you. Problems being relative or not, hard times are hard times and they're tough. Have you settled into your new house? Love your photographs.
