sweet pea hasn't said anything particularly hilarious lately. mostly he says things that are outrageously four. they have that certain tone of, dare i say...complete and utter defiance?!? i get this feeling that i am annoying or inconveniencing him with my questions of..."what would you like for breakfast?" or requests like, "please don't use the handles as an implement to climb the refrigerator." i have to hold on to the moments right now. like this one that made me chuckle on our way to school...sweet pea: i want to hug that dog. what kind is it?
me: it's an english sheep dog.
sweet pea: what?
me: an english sheep dog.
sweet pea: WHAT?
me: an ENG LISH SHEEEEP DOG
sweet pea: oh. are those born in china?
breathe in. breathe out. life is good! we are off to the lake that is grand. boys are having a sleep over at grammys. i felt like they were running away when they started packing their pillowcases. hopefully they got some underwear and pjs in there...we have proper travelling gear...it's just how they roll.
one more thing for the portion of the blogosphere that cares about such things...we sold our house this week. there is an honest to goodness sold sign in the yard. more on this next week!

R goes back to school on Monday, and then B and E (starting Kindergarten, yikes!) start on the 19th. Can't believe it. Love to everyone.
