fresh air

we met these guys a year ago in lake tahoe, and we were all fast friends.

we have fun little adventures together. this week we hiked about a mile at white ranch park. (and yes the 2 year olds made it by themselves without being carried! rock on little dudes!) both sweet pea and his lady friend have been reading the same favorite book, who pooped in the park? you will be so proud to know that we found both horse and coyote scat (identifiable by the kids!) and we followed the tracks on the trail and found out they belonged to humans and mountain bikers (hee hee).

we stopped for lunch on a fallen log by a stream.

the kids were very good about getting to the right side of the trail when someone approached or passed. and (i love this part) they cheered for everyone going up and down the trail...i'm sure they made some people stretch that extra distance with their encouragement. lots of smiles all around! (and how about that head band?!?)
