we had a bit of a rainy weekend and in our down time i watched the disney version of robin hood with sweet pea and beans. towards the end when maid marian runs off with robin (like the vixen that she is...) sweet pea asked me if they were falling in love, thus sparking a little conversation about his future interests. i asked sweet pea if he thought he would ever kiss someone. he answered so sweetly..."yeah, i think so." i promised to be nice to anyone he brought home. and he replied..."not to the mean ones. if i bring a girl home and you get in a sword fight with her...i'll know she is one of the mean ones. ok, mom?" right...if i ever have occasion to unsheathe my sword (or even own a sword), that will definitely indicate a problem. that kid is so smart. i am sure sweet pea will not bring home a mean girl, but if he does all bets are off right?
ReplyDeleteYeah Robin Hood! That is Allan's favourite cartoon movie. Glad you enjoy it too. Seeing the old house again put a tear in our eye and seeing the Memorial Day shot of where our friend Kenny lies did it again. Sweetpea could get a good girl from New Zealand! We know how to handle sword bearing MIL's down here! Great to see your blog - we will keep looking. Lots of love Bobbie and Allan, Nelson New Zealand
