the kids have been out of school since last wednesday. i got to take a nice long weekend with them, and have been trying to pack in every activity i can think of. we took a nice long walk around the lake and played at the park with brady and logan. i had wine with girls and ate dinner at sushi den finished off with ice cream at bonnie brae. we met with the contractor {and have an awesome plan which i will share later} we watched the nuggets play some exciting basketball {and just to let you know...i went to my first nuggets game vs. the ny nicks when i was 6. i have been a lifelong fan and i love basketball...just an fyi in case you were confused}

we rode the georgetown narrow gauge train and ate lunch at beau jos with grammy. {why were my kids the only ones with hats, gloves and coats in the mountains?}
we got haircuts. we got new shoes. we hung out a ton with our friends from idaho. we had a bbq despite the rain. we learned a new action adventure stunt game from the big boys.
we went to the rockies game...despite the rain and the fact that they are not good.
we ate cotton candy.
and chewed gum for the first time. an entire 10 piece pack of bubble yum.
this is how the holiday weekend ended...mid diaper change beans reverted to the fetal position, sound asleep, and told me NO! when i tried to roll him over.
alas, sweet pea has one last request before his "summer break" ends. he has asked me pretty much every day since the blizzard in march forced us to cancel his birthday dinner to take him to. chuck. e. f-ing. cheese. i am dreading it. i have put it off as long as i can. i simply cannot say no to this sweet face any longer. anyone want to have lunch with us? girls?

I might consider going for pizza with you. When? Call me.

Arielle loves CHuck-E-CHeese. She went for the first time just before she turned three and for the second a couple of weeks ago. Do you know, she remembered all the way back to the first time she went!?!? Kids love the place. I'm sure the one you are going to is far but we might make the trip. Let us know when and where!
