oh, we have been so sick. sweet pea and i kept the couch down and took turns in the bathroom last week (i lost 6lbs). we finally forced ourselves out of the house by friday. sweet pea had some incentive. i told him if he couldn't make it to preschool on friday there was no way we were going to k's birthday party. but in true st. clair form, my boy would not miss a party. especially hers. the day he got the invitation, he burst through the door from the garage and ran into the kitchen waving it all around. he was so excited to be included. and i am so thankful for our preschool friends (and their amazing parents....).
tulle and pink ribbon. there is not a lot of this around our house. as a birthday gift, i put together this little princess...tutu, if you will. it took brad and i all of 30 minutes and a glass of wine to construct. he was the tulle cutter and i was the tulle assembler. voila!

however, several, yes...multiple, people commented that if i were to show this to sweet pea before the birthday party it might not make it there. and alas, when he did see it he said, "mommy, how do we make one of these?" i find it amusing how drawn he is to the whole princess genre. that and batman. such an interesting dichotomy.

hehehehe...i want to see sp in his batman cap and a tutu, now that would be sight! and not very far fetched...

My oldest, Mr. J went thru a stage like that, because he was so boy-ish and liked all things manly, so when he saw something girly, it was like a foreign land, he was fascinated and repeled all at the same time... I hope you guys get better....
