i had tears in my eyes this morning, and it was not because beans has to get tubes in his ears...we had to fill out some paperwork at the doctor's office and sweet pea wanted to sign his name under mine. he was scribbling around, because for some reason he can't quite get the hang of his name. then he just kept on writing and he clearly spelled this word (pictured below) without any help or prompting. in fact i didn't even realize what he was doing until it was all over. as far as i know it was the first word he has ever spelled! it just made me so excited to see how much he has learned in such a short time. i can hardly wait to talk to his teachers about it tomorrow. i know, i'm silly. i am just so proud of him. he has no idea the limitless possibilities that lie ahead of him, all starting with these simple skills of writing and reading...
that's so exciting!!! i would be exactly the same way, not silly at all!

Hey Meghan! Isn't the blog thing fun? I love reading other people's blogs too!! I do feel like such a spy sometimes...but that is why we all have our "mom blogs" right ;-) Sometimes when I read about other people's crazy kids or crazy days then I don't feel soo bad...ha ha!
