the background story...about 4 years ago, i started a business with a dear friend which we named blue lily design. starting with my own wedding invitations, and working soley by word of mouth, we created custom wedding invitations, baby announcements, party invitations, holiday cards, moving cards and stationery for all of our friends. but...as things happen we got so busy having babies that we didn't have a lot of time to devote to the business (and there was a lot of business). this year we decided to dissolve our partnership (sniff, sniff), but my love for all things paper just hasn't gone away. and because i need a creative outlet to offset the duldrums of my 9-5 job...i'm hoping to open an etsy shop and another blog devoted entirely to sweet pea and beans ("sp&b") (the business) and my pursuit of paper happiness in the coming year (resolution #1).
i've been working on a few projects, mostly personal. however, i was given an opportunity to create a thank you card for a bloggy friend - my first official sp&b project. while i've been cramming my brain for all the papery sweet goodness i can offer her, i came up with something completely off the track. totally giving credit to this post on the little things for the idea, i came up with this cute stationery for the preschool set. dashed letter thank yous for your pre-writers to trace. how sweet, right?

giveaway...anyone interested? (i've never done this before so bear with me) here's the deal...leave me a comment by saturday, december 13th at 8pm mst. tell me what your favorite creative blog or website is and i'll give you a personalized set of children's traceable stationery. within reason people....not that i could imagine this happening, but if i get more comments than my usual 6 followers i'll have to pick winners at random. let's say 6 winners? feel free to share, new businesses can always use the love. i can't wait to hear what you think of the first sp&b line.
i'm. literally. holding. my. breath. in. anticipation......
Ok, I love it... What a great idea! I also think you should continue to do your invitations, cards, etc... I always love a thank you note, or a cute notecard for me to send out. But anyway, the preschool idea is adorable. My favorite blog is yours of course Meghan... Now don't take that in a kiss-up kind of way - I'm not trying to earn more points - I am being very objective. As for websites, well, as you know I just joined Facebook, so I'm having fun catching up with friends on there. Thanks for sharing your talents! Love the new sp&b line!!

These turned out great! and of course I'm here to enter, since they would go perfectly with the little stamps I ordered.
