considering how inundated we were with politics living in a swing state that hosted a national convention.....considering how sweet pea said, "every morning he says to me - i am barack obama and i approve this message." considering my baby was chanting mccain before he went to bed last night....i am again thankful for the country we live in, the process and institution of democracy, the passion that has been ignited in people to put their country first, for freedom, patriotism, change and the end of this election season! wasn't john mccain so gracious in his speech? it was humbling really. and amazing how this country has become so profoundly different over night in electing its first african american president. nothing will ever be the same. truly breathtaking. i'm so proud.
dude, every time i visit your blog, i can't get over how young your husband looks. i swear, in that picture, he could be your older son from a teen pregnancy... not that you look old, he just looks like that kid from superbad and juno....
ReplyDeleteawesome. that will be great when you are 50 and sagging and he still looks 18.
better than me, my husband is 16 years older than me, and he might as well be 30 at this point. i'm such a old lady.
we always laugh about how often he is carded. wherever we go. las vegas is the worst place for him. we've actually talked about making a tshirt with his driver's license on it so people will know he's nearly 35. i tell him he could have much worse problems than looking young.
ReplyDeletehey chica, your hubby is nearly 36...
ReplyDelete35, 36 who's counting....
ReplyDeleteyou took the words outta my nouth... no matter who you wanted to win, people have to recognize what a historic event this was, and not only that, but he was the best man for the job, regardless of race....
ReplyDeleteBTW... are you ever gonna show us some of your crafty paper stuff? giveaway? (hint...cough...hint)
