chucks

i spent the most glorious day with beans. brad and sweet pea motored up to ft. collins for the rams game. beans and i spent the entire day together playing and laughing (and shopping and crafting and watching chick flicks). it was truly a gift to spend so much one on one time with my baby. i kind of feel cheated in the amount of time i've been able to spend alone with beans. he is so different when he's not vying for position with his brother. he's amazingly musical and so kind. he is so much more calm and content than his brother. beans is an old soul.jh, i thought of you when i found these converse for the boys. now you have one more reason to love them! sweet pea has been creating this dream scenario where the neighbors (whose house is for sale and have already moved away) come outside and he says, "hey guys. these are my chucks. do you want to see how fast they are?" tonight he tried on every athletic shirt he owns (soccer, basketball and football) with his "chucks" so he could practice being fast in the living room (raining outside).

oh yeah, and sweet pea asked me when he could get pregnant....try explaining that one. uh...you can't. why? only girls have babies. why? uh....that's just the way it works. when can i have my own baby. when you're a man. but i am a man. uh....you have to be as old as daddy. and married. why? uh...
