"i am TOTALLY stressed out!" -carterism of the day
the other day at the grocery store when sweet pea was performing in all of his three year old glory brad had to take him to the car before we could finish checking out. as he lifted him up sweet pea yelled at the top of his lungs, "STUDENTS!!!! YOU ARE STUDENTS!!!" the cashier shrugged and looked a little annoyed. i said, "wow, i'm really impressed that he found an appropriate word in that situation. he's really making progress." ha ha. we all know that it could have been ten times worse.
while i'm at it....sweet pea was having a hard time settling down for bed tonight and by that i mean i had to put the baby gate up on his door while i put beans to bed (brad's soccer night). i closed beans door so i could focus on story time when what to my wondering eyes should appear but a tiny three year old in his short pajamas and "fast running shoes." he kicked down the baby gate and threw open beans door and yelled, "i am NOT ashamed!" (in all fairness he was referring to his behavior not his attire).
aahhh....peace and quiet...babies sleeping.....
oh my, now that is hilarious (laughing too loud at work). Good thing its early enough that most of the people are still not in!
ReplyDeleteI love it - I Am NOT ashamed. hahaha.
Oh Meg, Carter is really testing you lately isn't he? At least it makes for good blogging material! Just breathe...
ReplyDeleteoh my... you know, in nature the small baby animals are made to look cute and endearing to the parents, so the parents don't kill and eat them... and he is really cute : )
