i'm a little behind in our eventful life. lo and behold sweet pea is, dare i say, potty trained. our pediatrician gave us a potty training method to work on and for the last few months we have pursued it vigorously - and it worked! as a reward, we took sweet pea to his first official movie - wall*e. we tried to avoid the previews (even though we showed up late we still managed too many to count). we might have made it through the whole movie if there were more words or action. as it was, sweet pea was pretty bored with about 1/2 hour to go and no amount of popcorn, icee or super jumbo pretzel was going to keep him in his seat another minute longer. needless to say the movie was a little over his three year old head. but it is so exciting to think that in the near future we may actually get to go to a movie in the theater (and it won't even matter if it's a kids movie)!

the bub made it all the way through, but he got alittle bored once they got on the spaceship... (I did too for that matter) I think we both liked the earth part better...
ReplyDeletei don't totally understand it, but that grant thing sounds amazing... sounds like you are having a great summer. :)
scfd is funded through sales and use taxes and is distributed to different programs in the denver metro area. our preschool was a recipient of one such grant and thus we have miss roseanne. the scfd also provides "free days" at the denver museums and zoo so the arts become more accessible to everyone.
