welcome home

we are making room for a new family member!! no, silly. i'm not pregnant. we brought Dr. Bob home to live with us this week and we are all adjusting nicely. it's been hard for him to move from his country estate to our little digs in the city, but we're hoping he will learn to love us even just a smidge as much as he loved my dad. we're glad to have him.

bob is a lot of things, but photogenic is not one of them. he has gone so far as to try and hide under the couch to avoid a photo for this blog post. putting that one minor weakness aside, i will take the time to brag, here, and let you know that i have already trained him to put his own toys away (no joke). i'm not sure what that says about my parenting skills since i can't get my kids to do that. moby just stood there and got in the way and wondered what on earth bob was doing. meanwhile, bob wondered what kind of taskmaster he inherited.....he growled at me the whole time he was putting his toys away but he did it just the same. what a good man.
