mother's day revisited

my plan (all good stories start off with those words...) was to do gardening on mother's day. i had a vision for the garden beds in my backyard and we were going to have a pumpkin garden off to the side somewhere. but things happen and you decide that gardening, of all things, is the last job you are going to be thinking about this summer....however, life starts creeping in and you start finding the joy (inspiration) in the every day things you loved doing "before." then you find yourself modifying "the plan" and the next thing you know you are pulling weeds and planting flowers and laying down decorative bark in the FRONT yard instead of the back. and all of your boys are rooting you on (even the dogs at the front door). and then you know things are as they should be and you remember to be thankful for what you have.

  2. Time is truly a wondrous thing. I like what you wrote at the end, knowing things are as they should be and remembering to be thankful. That is truly finding joy everyday.
