watching two little boys grow up side by side leaves me panting for breath most of the time. they couldn't be more different. {said in my best chandler bing voice.} you want to give them space to grow and thrive independently of each other, yet you want to lump them together and hope they choose the same winter sports. one is setting up his own etsy shop, the other tells you he crawled through the tunnel under main street. there was no dead stuff. one wears basketball shorts all the live long day the other dons tom cruise sunglasses and a fedora. one tries hard to be everything, the other doesn't try at all. you do your best for them the only way you know how. you watch two little boys grow up side by side and find yourself breathless at how they shine in their very own ways.
Vive la difference! xxxx
ReplyDeleteGod bless them! They are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYour words bring me back over 40 years to our own twin boys who came exactly 10 months after our first girl.
The twins were indentical...Only their sister could tell them apart, and the blue hospital bracelets which we left on for months, out of fear we might make a mistake as to who is who.
So similar in looks yet so different in temperament. They grew up different...they still are. One is serious and quiet, always thinking things through and doing what he should.
The other funny, a teaser, loud and impulsive, always follows his heart and ignores his mind.
Love them both for who they are...our pride and joy, both of them. Peter has 3 boys and a girl, Nick has 2 boys...beautiful children themselves!
Thanks Meghan for taking me back!
God bless all of you!
