i was awestruck in the car today as my husband related the story of petra anderson to me. a girl going off to college. struck through the nose by a bullet. the bullet tunnels through her brain via an unknown birth defect and lodges at the base of her skull. her brain was virtually untouched by the bullet. during her five hour surgery to remove the bullet {that doctors felt grim about} they were amazed at what they saw. she is now a survivor. read her story here.
