rainy days

this week we found ourselves out and about in the forest.  i showed the boys the "secret", staircase a decision i may one day regret.  we had a picnic on the fly because we feared the rain would ruin our sandwiches.  we saw the bright mountain bluebird.  the boys have been calling each other "hams" lately.  they really are pretty funny.  sweet pea helped beans tie his shoes.  it's notable in my book.  that just doesn't happen often.  then it was too windy, too cold, too rainy, too long, too heavy, etc.  so we went home and had haircuts and pizza.  tuesday home with both boys.  the first in months.  it was sweet to drift through our day together just like old times.
