the fabric of our lives

sometimes i get lost in writing out the words.  might be a lesson in what not to blog.  or how to blog better.  yesterday, the words were so strong in my heart.  they were not meant to be kept.  many of you sweet friends were worried about who died.  c.b. was a very good man who owned the barn where i used to ride horses.  and i'm sorry to have been so vague about that.  whew.  yesterday was an emotional day for me.  but i'm left with a sense of peace.  and a reminder that things are as they should be.  orange gingham stained with easter egg dye.  that's how we roll.  no black tie affairs around these parts.

so, ending the week on an upswing.

one of the great ladies in my life is running an ultra marathon tomorrow in japan {77k}.  just a reminder to us all that if you think you can't do something.  simply, you can.  she is running in honor of her aunt who was a recipient of a donated heart.  during her training, you know, there was a devastating earthquake, tsunami, and many aftershocks.  she strongly believes it's not about the pitfalls it's about how you pull yourself up and finish the race.

sweet pea was gung ho on watching the royal wedding with me tonight via dvr until they aired THE KISS this morning.  that's when i lost him.  hopefully i can borrow some women folk from around town and finish off this royal wedding marathon week in style.

coming up next week...we must chat about my amazing husband, and exhibit a - the dastardly chair.  until then, tally ho and fare thee well and long live the queen.  xoxo

And this? Well, I'm ga-ga for gingham right about now. Orange? Even better.
