fish out of water

when we were in idaho falls this summer we went to the pool with all the kids.  it was such a fun day and as we were chatting, i became distinctly aware that beansy boy was nowhere to be found.  he was definitely not in the kiddie pool.  i panicked.  i jumped out of the pool to get a better view.  and thankfully noticed beans standing in line at the diving board with all the big kids.  it just makes my palms sweat to even think of my baby standing next to the deep end.  i mosied my bottom over there and casually mentioned to him that the rule at the pool was no diving board until you could pass the swim test (swim test=swimming across the pool).  he folded his arms across his chest and kind of moved to the side of the line.  with a scowl on his face he said, "when we get back i need to take swim lessons."  beans is a fish.
