fragile

my words had no weight.  a smallish boy had something to say.  he has a mind of his own.  smashing the shell was his most important thing.  and in doing so, he learned that everything is not fixable.  such a big lesson he taught himself.

  2. he's fine. i say better for finding out the hard way. it had fallen from the nest already so there was no "real" damage caused by the smashing incident. it was already broken. he found out what was inside, though. poor, poor, baby birds around our house. lots of casualties this year. including the baby i didn't interfere with. sadly.

  3. What lesson in life - I am sure he will grow up to be a fine adult. Especially as he has such a wise Mum. One of life's hardest lessons is to learn not to shelter our children from the realities of life and to enable them to grow into fully rounded human beings. Well done sweet girl. I love you. Hugs for the boys (including the gorgeous big guy!)
