here are just a couple of funny things the boys have said over the last few weeks...just to get you through the day. happy thursday. xoxobeans doesn't talk a lot, but talks a lot all at the same time. the other day he held my face in his hands and said, "mommy, hear all of my words." it's his sweet way of asking me to listen, but just in a more complicated, beansish way... today he reached his boiling point with sweet pea and blurted out..."you jackhammer!" it reminds me of the phase we went through with sweet pea when he often used the word that rhymes with "truck." i worked HARD not to overreact to name calling. i can learn from my mistakes. that's all i need is my 2/3 yo belting out similar words to jackhammer at school.
sweet pea climbs into bed the other day and says to me, "mom, i made a mistake a long, long, time ago. so long ago that i was in heaven and God was still making me." i said, "oh no. what did you do?" he said, "i can't remember because it was very long ago."
both sweet pea and beans have a serious addiction. to running in the house. i staged an intervention. both boys were sent to their rooms with threats of full chuggington deletion from the dvr. i discussed the matter with beans (who has suffered TOO MANY injuries while running through the house) and he apologized. as i walked by sp's room i noticed he was loading some clothes, stuffed animals and his guitar into the laundry basket. i asked him what he was doing and he said angrily, "i'm sailing away from you." of course i offered to help him pack...and then i told him i would miss him and if he sailed away i would never stop looking for him. he said, "mommy you didn't really think i would sail away from you, did you?"
this is the good stuff! i wish i was blogging when mine were smaller... so many good/funny stories! "hear all of my words": i love each and every one of these stories!! thanks for sharing! jh
ReplyDeleteMeg, you are so GOOD at remembering this stuff and putting it into words. There are so many things that Arielle says and I WISH I had written them down. Doesn't it just melt your heart when they say the cute stuff like this?
