one of the only things we didn't change in the new/ old house was the kitchen. my dad spent a lot of time working in there before things went south. the tile floor is bee-yoo-tiful, and he updated the cabinetry himself. he bought all new appliances and we replaced the old windows with new, more energy efficient ones. the kitchen was the one thing i couldn't stomach changing. i just couldn't replace his handiwork so soon. it was hard enough changing the rest of the house. my complaint about the kitchen in it's current state is that there is not enough cabinet space for my things. most of which are still packed. and the cabinet doors don't line up straight. but let's not even TALK about that because it's enough to drive me insane. every day. i have to turn my back and stare at the wall instead. meg duerksen of whatever, posted her kitchen remodel today. i was pretty sure when i saw the pictures i had died and gone to heaven. it seems as if this is a big part of her living space...and i've seen bits and pieces of the kitchen through her photography. so...i've always been a little curious about how the whole thing looked. now i know. and i'm a teense envious. you should check out the before and after pictures. brad? this is what i want. ok? if you need a project. thanks. (photo from meg's blog whatever...love that blog....)
