i thought it would be fun to share some of the things we're finding as we sort out the remnants of the old house. a new purpose for
the guest house may be: antique shop.
this book "appeared" in the basement. i'm not sure how it came to the location in which it was found. perhaps one of the contractors unearthed it. yes, that's a good theory... the book is
Daddy's Adventures with the Animals by Helen Fuller Orton and line drawings by Luxor Price, published 1933. it's fragile at best....but truly amazing. it has date stamping on the original library card from the 30's. hopefully they don't want it back.

It is like a treasure hunt meg! Love the cool stuff you are finding! Can't wait to see more :) Looking forward to some relaxing country time tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteWow! How amazing! That book is incredible. We've just converted our loft but we have a cellar which goes the whole length of our house. Maybe we'll find some treasures there when we embark on converting that too!! Wonder what else you'll find.
