bathroom progress

remember this picture of the old bathroom? the bathroom the seventies forgot to take with it when the eighties came along? taken in the best possible light, using all the photoshop tools i could find to make it look better?

this is the first look at the new bathroom...or water "closet" if you will. it's pretty tiny even without the sink and toilet. but i am so happy that we were able to fit both a shower and tub. and the light of it all! alas, you know how we wanted that claw foot tub. but if i've learned one thing about a big construction project on a little budget...you have to pick and choose. i am replacing our contractor's favorite saying, "anything is possible in construction, but it'll cost you." with my new favorite saying, "someday."

here's hoping that everything goes well this week...finishing off closing items from the aftermath of the last hail storm, final packing, closing on friday, moving on saturday!! xoxo
