we're baaack....

i won't say i'm getting sleep yet...but it turns out that between the time we took beans to the doctor on tuesday and when we took him back on thursday he developed a roseola-ish rash and...yes, you guessed it. an ear infection! poor baby. but give that boy some antibiotics and he's up and running (into our room all night....). beans has a date with an e.n.t. on february 15th (aack! she's on vacation until then). and i am both happy and sad to say that tubes are in his not near enough future. we hit the mountain this weekend and sweet pea made his way up the magic carpet and down the hill! granted...i was running next to him holding his hand, but he did it. he was fixated on riding the chairlift. because we told him he couldn't do that until he could make it down the mountain by himself....he had a moderate meltdown and skiing was over for the day. we ended on a positive note and this morning he couldn't wait to tell his preschool teacher all about it. fingers crossed that he loves skiing as much as his dad and mom. no pressure.

  2. skiiing!?! oh my god I'm having a heart attack right now.... i think i would rather eat my right arm than put my child on skis... i am totally freaking out... but then again, i grew up in south carolina and live in texas and haven't really seen snow in almost a decade and have never been on skis in my life because I am too much of a chicken sh*t.... so way to go little guy!

  4. you are absolutely right! there is nothing finer than swooshing down the mountain with your boys. i can't wait! tisha...when is jonah going to ski?

all of you will have to journey to colorado someday to ski with your boys. scribs, we'll take care of the bub for you, and you can rest your worries at the lodge's bar! all those boys will tear it up on the mountain!

  5. Meg, we've been taking Arielle skiing for the past two years. she still has a looooong way to go but maybe we can get them two on the slopes together soon.

also, after Arielle's ear tubes she was 200% better than before them. coming out of the "surgery" was a different story but all kids react differently too. good luck!
