sundance

sometimes exciting things happen at my job. this year one of our companies helped to produce a film that premiered at the sundance film festival in park city, utah. i am excited to say that push: based on the novel by sapphire (not to be confused with the push movie starring dakota fanning - good god!) won the audience and jury awards in the US dramatic competition, as well as an acting award for mo'nique who played the nasty "mother figure" in the movie. a little oscar buzz heading her way as well....can you imagine?!? not that i had anything to do with the movie (except for answering the phone once when lee daniels the director called). i am merely a minion, but i am excited none the less. if i were to be included in the film credits it would read: me...the girl who answered the phone once and so on and so forth. mack and t worked very hard to make sure this thing happened! but i did meet gabby and she's cool . so rock on lee, lisa, and asger and, well, all those actors that made that movie so terribly cutting and horrific but so necessary, and my boss. well done!
