thankful for tuesdays

i am a working mom. i never imagined i would be able to say that without completely bursting into tears. if you know me, you know there is almost nothing i would rather be doing than playing with my boys. on the verge of losing my sanity to guilt, i was given an amazing gift in that i am allowed to stay home on tuesdays. that simple privilege has gotten me through so many days where i couldn't stand leaving sweet pea or beans behind. i covet tuesdays. i love having play dates with other friends (movies and pizza with our buddy cole - above). i love taking my kids to visit museums and the zoo. i love red robin for lunch and the library in the afternoon. i love walks to the park and having great neighbors with kids the same age. i love hiking in the summer and sledding in the winter. i love making meals while the boys provide their expert culinary skills. i love that my boys "help" me clean the house. so many options on tuesdays. and after we fit in all of the fun (and house chores) we could possibly do on a tuesday....i get to go to work the other four weekdays for some rest and relaxation (hee hee). stay at home parents work harder than anyone else on the planet. i am so thankful to get the best from both of my worlds.

  1. Oh, I am so happy for you that you get to have an extra day home with them... that is such a gift... I ahve had both worlds, working and staying home, and since returning to the stay at home club, somedays it is very overwhelming and my lists seem to be taking on a life of their own...
